Job Summary:


This Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse position requires a minimum of two years of experience in a Level III NICU setting. The RN will provide skilled nursing care to neonates in a high-volume delivery hospital. Responsibilities include patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

- Providing skilled nursing care to neonates in a Level III NICU.
- Performing patient assessments and monitoring vital signs.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records.
- Collaborating effectively with physicians, other nurses, and support staff.
- Responding to emergencies and providing critical care as needed.
- Participating in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning.
- Educating parents and families about their infant's condition and care.


Required Skills & Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a Level III NICU.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Proficiency in Cerner electronic health record system.
- Clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).


Special Considerations:

- Weekend work is required.
- 13-week assignment.
- 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM shift.
- High-volume Level III NICU environment.
