As AWS continues its rapid global expansion, we're searching for a Program Manager to join our Logistics team and drive excellence in our operations. In this role, you'll champion solutions that transform how AWS delivers cloud services to millions of customers.

Your Impact
You'll spearhead projects that connect our business with technical teams locally and globally. By developing scalable, secure, and adaptable solutions, you'll directly influence how AWS serves its growing customer base. Your expertise in building relationships and managing complex projects will help bridge communication gaps between teams and drive successful outcomes.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
When you start your day, you'll find yourself orchestrating various initiatives - from leading team communications to developing comprehensive project schedules. You'll analyze key performance metrics and use data-driven insights to guide decision-making. Your role includes organizing and facilitating important events, establishing effective business rhythms, and ensuring smooth team operations.

As the primary point of contact for stakeholder teams, you'll craft clear, targeted communications for different audiences, from front-line technicians to executive stakeholders. You'll identify potential risks early and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.

Your Focus Areas
• Strategic Operations: Lead communication strategies and establish efficient business processes
• Project Excellence: Create and manage detailed project plans while monitoring success metrics
• Team Coordination: Organize team activities and maintain optimal office operations
• Risk Management: Identify and address gaps between departments to ensure seamless execution
• Training Oversight: Track team training requirements and drive completion rates

Key job responsibilities
The primary role of the Logistics Program Manager is to execute and drive organizational program/project delivery and adoption across multiple organizations and teams. Other responsibilities include:

- Measure and report effectiveness of new programs
- Collaborate with project stakeholders in multiple business and teams to define and deliver on agreed upon milestones. Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs
- Execute on communications strategy to stakeholders including ownership of business cadence (all hands, team meetings etc)
- Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities
- Communicate project issues and status in a concise, accurate, and professional manner
- Build and maintain integrated reporting for areas of responsibility
- Remain flexible to changing priorities, open to new ideas and have AWS's success firmly in your focus
- Coordinate team needs (team activities, event planning, moves, etc)
- Own the business cadence and governance (weekly/monthly/quarterly business reviews) for area of responsibility
- Own annual planning and other adhoc planning cycles
- Own goals/performance reporting

A day in the life
The Logistics Program Manager typically coordinates people, projects, and systems to deliver outcomes, aligning priorities across projects, tracking progress, and finding solutions to blockages, often spending time in meetings and providing updates to stakeholders. They will work in a variety of systems including program management tools like Asana, as well as review relevant metrics through BI tools (Quicksight, Tableau).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of program or project management experience
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Experience with logistics processes and warehouse systems
