We are seeking a   Lead Python Developer   with  10+ years of experience   to design, develop, and deploy scalable, enterprise-grade solutions within the   financial services domain . The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Python, distributed data processing, cloud-native architecture, and API-driven microservices, especially in   quantitative engineering for interest rate derivatives   within a   SWAP QE   environment. This role demands hands-on experience in   big data, cloud infrastructure, and modern DevOps practices , alongside a strong understanding of financial systems and high-volume transactional platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and lead the development of   high-performance Python-based applications   for financial risk and derivatives modeling.
  

• Build and optimize   large-scale data pipelines   using   PySpark ,   Databricks ,   AWS Glue , and   Apache Spark .
  

• Architect and develop   RESTful and GraphQL APIs   using   FastAPI ,   Flask , or   Django , ensuring seamless integration with front-end and data layers.
  

• Implement and maintain robust   ETL pipelines   for structured and unstructured data; apply   data wrangling, cleaning, and transformation   techniques using Pandas, Polars, etc.
  

• Leverage   machine learning   and   predictive analytics   for data-driven decision-making in real-time financial applications.
  

• Lead   DevOps automation   using   Docker ,   Kubernetes ,   Terraform , and   CI/CD pipelines   on   AWS .
  

• Design and implement   serverless architectures , manage   API Gateways , and ensure   cloud security best practices .
  

• Guide teams in   Agile delivery methodologies  (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) with a focus on cross-functional collaboration and iterative delivery.
  

• Conduct   code reviews , enforce   code quality , and ensure maintainability through   test-driven development (TDD)  with   PyTest ,   Selenium , and continuous testing strategies.
  

• Work with   message-driven systems   using   Kafka   and   RabbitMQ   to build real-time data ingestion pipelines.
  

• Develop and maintain   high-performance databases , tuning SQL/PLSQL queries and using   PostgreSQL ,   MongoDB ,   Redis , and   Oracle .
  

• Drive   web scraping   and automation efforts using   Selenium ,   Scrapy ,   BeautifulSoup , and   Airflow   for task orchestration and job scheduling.
  

• Collaborate with data science and business teams to   integrate AI/ML models   into production workflows.
  

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years   of hands-on experience in   Python development   with leadership responsibilities.
  

• Deep understanding of   interest rate derivatives ,   quantitative modeling , and   financial instruments .
  

• Proven expertise in:
  

  • Python frameworks : FastAPI, Flask, Django
    

  • Data engineering : PySpark, Pandas, Polars
    

  • Big data & ETL : Apache Spark, Databricks, AWS Glue
    

  • Cloud platforms : AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, etc.)
    

  • Infrastructure : Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform
    

  • DevOps : Jenkins, GitLab CI, CI/CD pipelines
    

  • API Design : RESTful & GraphQL APIs
    

  • Databases : PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Oracle, PL/SQL
    

  • Messaging Systems : Kafka, RabbitMQ
    

• Solid experience with   Agile practices , including Scrum and SAFe.
  

• Hands-on knowledge in   test automation   using PyTest, Selenium.
  

• Experience in   web scraping , job scheduling (Airflow), and integrating   ML models .
  

Nice to Have:

• Financial certifications or quantitative background (e.g., CFA, FRM, MFE).
  

• Familiarity with data visualization tools and BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI).
  

• Experience working in high-frequency trading, risk analytics, or fintech startups.
