Peters' Bakery is a San Jose institution. Opened on April 15th, 1936, Peters' Bakery is the oldest Family owned bakery in the Silicon Valley. Over the years, the bakery has trained more than 100 bakers many of whom went on to establish their own bakeries. As well as having a phenomenal retention rate for employees.

Job Description: Perform all duties related to baking and maintain general cleanliness of Peters' Bakery

Guaranteed pay increase to:
$18.65 after first 700 hours.
$19.50 after 1400 hours.
$21.00 after 2100 hours.

Responsibilities:
* Follow baking schedule
* Practice proper baking procedures
* Understand proper use of all equipment including walk-in refrigerator, mixer, oven, and racks.
* Communicate with others
* Strive for detailed knowledge of product line
* Maintain a clean area. Including washing equipment and accessories.
* Be quick, accurate and organized
* Receive, stock, and store food in designated containers and storage areas in an organized manner
* Perform other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
* Be physically able to work an eight hour day or more while on your feet
* Be able to work early morning shifts; start time is based on business needs and may vary from 5:30AM - 6:30PM
* Safely lift fifty pounds
* Have ability to perform basic mathematics on the spot
* Show sharp attention to detail
* Ability to Multitask
* Bilingual with Spanish is a plus, but not mandatory.
The position is full-time Tue-Sat. Working Fridays and Saturdays is required. Starting Pay is $18.10 per hour + TIPS.
