COMPANY OVERVIEW:A leading provider of environmental construction, demolition and abatement, asset recovery, specialty transportation, industrial services and waste management services. POSITION: Safety Officer - Demolition COMPENSATION: Competitive salary + DOE BENEFITS: Standard package LOCATION: North Carolina Region SUMMARY: Our client is currently seeking a dedicated and self-motivated professional to apply their skills and experience as a Safety Officer. This candidate will be working under the direction of our corporate Safety Director to assure company compliance with federal and state safety regulations to reduce incidents and workplace injuries.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated, and communicated. Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including regulated training and reporting. Ensure the completion and regular review of Job Hazards Analysis for all work equipment and operations. Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated, and recommended improvements implemented. Conduct safety inspections and ensure work safety procedures are managed and employees are aware of their responsibilities. Participate in safety meetings and instruct site personnel on different safety-related topics. Collaborate with Project Manager in the Development of site-specific Health and Safety plans. Liaise with external health & safety consultants, clients and State and Federal agencies. Any other reasonable duties which may be required by the Health and Safety Director

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

3 years in industrial safety or related experience. Health and Safety Technician (CHST) preferred. 40 - Hour HAZWOPER Training OSHA 30 - Hour Construction Industry (Cal/OSHA).
