Job Description

Provides litigation support for attorneys in the Staff Counsel operation. The paralegal assists the attorney by performing legal activities which do not require attorney signature, legal advice, or appearances in court.This position will report to our Scottsdale, AZ office location.What You'll Do:Our Paralegals assist staff counsel by performing legal activities that don't require attorney signature, client advise, or appearances in court. In addition, you'll:Assist in the preparation of responses to discovery under direct supervision of an attorneyPerform factual investigations and document searchesObtain investigative materials and policy informationContact insureds and other witnesses to obtain factual statements.Coordinate scheduling of litigation activities and witness appearancesWhat it Takes:Associate Degree or equivalent work experienceMinimum 2 years of related work experience in a litigation settingExperience with Washington and Texas litigation is helpful American Bar Association-Certified Paralegal Training preferredAdvanced knowledge of case management; and knowledge of, and ability to, perform legal researchStrong analytical ability and knowledge of litigation processesAbility to work independentlyWhat You'll Receive:At Sentry, your total rewards go beyond competitive compensation.
