Job Summary

Our client is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Designer with 5–15 years of experience in AutoCAD 2D design, InTools, and SPI for oil & gas and chemical industry projects. The role involves developing I&E deliverables, coordinating with site and offshore teams, and ensuring compliance with NFPA, API standards, and EPC practices.

Job Description

• Instrumentation and Electrical Designer experienced 2D drafting, SPI and InTools experience
• Knowledge of Field Instrumentation, Loop Drawings, Instrumentation Layout drawings, Hook-up Drawings, JB Drawings and Control room FTA is highly desirable.
• Experience in Electrical design, especially in low voltage (below 480V) is preferred. Experience in developing Area Classification drawing, One line diagram, Earthing/ Grounding Layout, Power drawings layout
• Responsible for working directly with site operations, technicians, and project teams to develop scope of work for the company
• Communicate with site project engineer, site document controller, operations and company team for project requirements
• Develop detailed design drawings for I&E deliverables using AutoCAD.
• Interface with company design team in India to coordinate about for project scope discussions and Design Review discussions
• Work with vendors for any vendor specific items and update the relevant I/E drawings.
• Quality Review and Validation of final deliverables before submission to client.
• Ensure site safety and health protocols are followed
• Interface and coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to meet project design requirements and effectively manage the internal flow of data and design changes.

Skills Required

• Instrumentation & Electrical Designer with 5-15 years of experience of AutoCAD 2D Design, InTools and SPI in compliance with API Standards codes and NFPA standards in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Chemicals & other associated industries.
• Strong working knowledge of Electrical and Instrumentation design codes including NFPA and API standards.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Aveva 3D software.
• EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) / EPCm experience is preferred.
• Instrumentation & Electrical Designer, Aveva 3D, AutoCAD Drafting, Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical
• Prefer candidates with U.S. Refinery experience

Education/Training/Certifications

• Diploma / Certificate in Instrumentation and Electrical Design is required
