Now Hiring: Experienced Mechanic.

Staiman Recycling Corporation, a growing leader in the business for over 120 years is looking to add an experienced Equipment Mechanics to their Maintenance Team! This is a first shift position with hours of 7AM to 4:30 PM.

Responsibilities of the Heavy Equipment Mechanic: 

• Diagnose any mechanical, electrical, or other breakdown or failure of company trucks and other mechanized equipment.
• Read precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, voltmeters, digital multi-meters, calibrators, and other electronic diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of the component parts and systems on mechanized equipment.

Skills of the Heavy Equipment Mechanic:

• Applicants should have excellent troubleshooting skills in hydraulics, electrical, engines and power train systems.
• Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
• Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
• Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings. Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
• Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
• Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.

Qualifications/Requirements of the Heavy Equipment: 

• Applicants should have 5+ years of experience.
• Must have a stellar attendance record, good attitude, be a team player and have the ambition to grow in a company that offers endless growth opportunities.
