Job Description

As a Grocery Associate, you will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service, and maintaining cleanliness and organization at the checkout area. You will work closely with other team members to uphold FARMSHOP’s standards of service and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
• Ring up sales accurately using the POS system and handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including stocking bags and supplies.
• Provide product information and answer customer inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
• Assist in reconciling cash drawers and preparing daily deposits.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth flow of operations and exceptional customer service.
• Follow all cash handling procedures and security protocols to minimize loss and ensure accuracy.
• Uphold FARMSHOP’s standards of hospitality and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role preferred.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and positive attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
• Flexibility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
