Finance Director
North Shore Strategies – Chicago, NY
Compensation: $6,000–$8,000 per month, commensurate with experience
Start Date: Rolling start date - November 2026

North Shore Strategies is seeking a full-time Finance Director to lead a highly competitive Democratic congressional campaign's fundraising efforts in Illinois. 

About the Role

As the Finance Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the campaign’s finance plan to ensure the resources needed to win. You will manage call time, plan fundraising events, oversee donor communication, and maintain accurate finance records. You’ll work closely with the Campaign Manager, candidate, and consulting team to hit weekly, monthly, and quarterly fundraising goals..

We are specifically seeking candidates with at least one full cycle in a senior leadership role on a highly competitive congressional or statewide political campaign.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to meet the campaign’s financial goals, with an emphasis on immediately generating donations.
• Keep the candidate on track and accountable with daily call time and fundraising efforts.
• Set fundraising goals and create systems to regularly evaluate progress.
• Plan, execute, and oversee all fundraising events, both virtual and in-person.
• Maintain donor databases and track contributions using NGP software.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant campaign finance laws and regulations, including FEC reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with consultants and staff on online fundraising, mail, and other channels.
• Build and maintain relationships with high- and low-dollar donors, as well as develop and support a Finance Committee

Qualifications

• Minimum two cycles of campaign finance experience (Finance Director, Finance Assistant, or Call Time Manager roles), and one cycle on a competitive congressional or statewide race
• Proficiency in NGP and other campaign finance tools
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-candidate environment
• Preference given to candidates with ties to Georgia, South Carolina, or Virginia
