We’re seeking an Experience Designer who can deliver aesthetically beautiful and meaningful experiences. You must have a portfolio that demonstrates clever design thinking as well as physical and visual design skills.

This position is based in our Pittsburgh, PA studio with the opportunity for some hybrid work.

  • You like getting your hands dirty—utilizing rapid prototyping technologies and low fidelity prototypes to prove out design concepts
  • You have 2-4 years experience, preferably in a creative agency or similar environment.

Responsibilities

  • Creative Concepting - Collaborate with Creative Directors, Designers, and Creative Technologists to create concepts that are inventive, strategic, and create meaningful experiences for audiences.
  • 3D Design - Create environmental designs and/or product design depending on the concept and project needs. Collaborate with production designers and engineers to make buildable final designs.
  • User Experience Design - Concept, develop and diagram the user experience through storyboards and flowcharts. Contribute to key decisions around the experience, ensuring that the design and conceptual vision remains consistent and on brand
  • Idea Communication - Contribute to concepting discussions with internal teams to thoroughly explain decisions and processes
  • Bring Ideas to Fruition - Contribute to the project needs at every stage, including concepting, pre-production, and production
  • Creative Excellence - Adapt best practices and tools to produce best in class experiences across a variety of verticals and projects. Tap into culture and stay up-to-date on emerging trends and technologies.

Desired Skills

  • Experiential Design - Contribute to the experiential aspects of a project including physical design (form, materials, fit/finish) and experience design (user journey, layout, flow)
  • Concept Development - Craft cross-discipline ideas including any supporting visuals and necessary write-ups
  • 3D Modeling - Proficient in either Rhino or Sketchup, strong preference to candidates with Rhino experience and Enscape familiarity. Must be able to quickly and thoughtfully visualize concepts
  • Concept Visualization - Communicate abstract concepts with compelling visual mockups using whatever media you feel most comfortable with: sketching, rendering, photoshop, AI, etc.
