Acara Solutions and our client in Scottsdale, AZ have a contract-to-direct hire position 

Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer - MUOS Program

Hybrid and for the right person possible remote work

Job Summary: We are looking for a DSP Engineer with expertise in C++ , real-time embedded systems , and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) to support the MUOS program . The role focuses on developing and optimizing real-time DSP solutions for mission-critical communication systems.

Key Technical Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) in embedded real-time operating systems.
• Proficient in C++ programming , including constructs like classes, objects, inheritance, polymorphism, and operator overloading.
• Experience developing real-time C++ applications in a Linux environment .
• Knowledge of Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) and Ettus Software-Defined Radios .
• Experience with DSP libraries (e.g., FFT) for signal processing.
• Proficiency in MATLAB for signal analysis and DSP algorithm development.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Intel compilers and performance optimizations.
• Familiarity with deploying DSP components in a containerized environment .

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics
• Minimum 5 years of Digital Signal Processing (DSP), embedded real-time operating systems, C++ programing experience.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• Master's Degree
• Agile experience
• Ability to lead the software development process
• Expertise in ing technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges in creative ways
• Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and positioning others for success
• Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
• Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
