The Center for Teaching Innovation (CTI) is a part of the Office of the Provost working directly under the Vice Provost for Academic Innovation. The CTI partners with the Cornell teaching community to explore and foster inclusive, evidence-based teaching practices. We facilitate the development of vibrant, challenging, and reflective student-centered learning experiences.
The Creative Technology Lab at the CTI is an innovative space designed to provide enhanced support for faculty as they incorporate emerging technologies into their pedagogical practice. Here, faculty can work with CTI's instructional designers and specially trained student staff to bring virtual and extended reality (VR/XR), digital storytelling, and generative artificial intelligence into their teaching and student learning experiences.
The Instructional Technologist: Creative Media Specialist will be deeply engaged with the fields of AI, immersive media development, Canvas support, and media production, and possess extensive experience supporting a wide range of learning technologies. This role involves intensive project work in 360 video and associated development platforms such as UpTale.io along with working closely with faculty and students within the Creative Technology Lab to develop and implement engaging media content that enhances learning outcomes. The Creative Media Specialist supports the CTL mission to incorporate advanced technologies into our educational offerings, with a special focus on AI, immersive media, and digital storytelling.
This is a fully remote, fixed term position through April 2026, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and available funding. This position does not support visa sponsorship.
