CNC Machinist

Fridley, MN | Contract to Hire | $22 - $28/hour
Monday to Thursday, 5 am - 3:30 pm or 6-4:30

Job Summary: As a Steinhauer Operator, you will play a vital role in the company's production process. Your primary responsibility will be operating and maintaining a Steinhauer machine. You will ensure the efficient and accurate manufacturing of products while adhering to quality and safety standards.

CNC Machinist Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation: Operate the Steinhauer machine effectively and efficiently to produce high-quality products according to specifications.
• Setup and Preparation: Set up the machine, including installing necessary tools, loading materials, and adjusting machine settings for each job.
• Monitoring Production: Monitor the production process closely to ensure the machine operates smoothly and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on the manufactured products to ensure they meet the required specifications and standards.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of production activities, including job setups, materials used, production counts, and any issues or defects encountered.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.

CNC Machinist Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating a Steinhauer machine or similar CNC equipment is highly preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measuring tools and instruments.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
