**Assembler - Contract to Hire** **Location:** Lexington, Virginia **Pay Range:** $24-$27/hour **Shift Availability** + **2nd Shift:** Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (occasional Saturdays) + **3rd Shift:** Monday-Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM (occasional Saturdays) **Position Summary** We are actively seeking a **detail-oriented and dependable Assembler** to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This hands-on role involves assembling units based on dimensional drawings and instructions provided by the group leader. You'll rotate across various workstations and use hand and power tools to complete tasks efficiently and safely. This is a **contract-to-hire** opportunity with strong potential for long-term growth and advancement. **Key Responsibilities** + Interpret and follow dimensional drawings and assembly instructions + Use hand and power tools, including impact guns, pliers, wrenches, and tape measures + Assemble components such as casings, frames, and A-coils + Route wiring and connect sub-assemblies accurately + Identify and report defective parts or materials + Maintain accurate records of completed tasks and documentation + Follow all safety protocols and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) **Required Qualifications** + Previous experience in assembly, general labor, or using hand/power tools + Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools effectively + Comfortable working on an assembly line and performing repetitive tasks + Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods + Strong attendance record and a positive, team-oriented attitude + Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks and environments **Preferred Skills** + Experience in brazing and welding + Familiarity with sheet metal work or HVAC components **Work Environment** + Large, non-temperature-controlled manufacturing facility + Physical demands include lifting (non-repetitive), stooping, and prolonged standing/walking + Collaborative team setting with a focus on safety and productivity **Why Join Us?** We offer a competitive benefits package, including: + Paid vacation + 401(k) retirement plan + Health, dental, vision, and life insurance + Flexible spending accounts + Tuition reimbursement + Opportunities for career growth and advancement We are proud to be recognized as an **employer of choice in Lexington, VA** . **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, VA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.53 - $27.14/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
