Architectural Intern/Draftsman job at Placement By Design Benbrook, TX, US

Job Description

We are searching for an Architectural Intern or Draftsman with 1-3 years of experience for a fully onsite opportunity working for an Architectural firm in Benbrook, TX. Projects would include commercial retail projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Become familiar with company’s CAD and file management standards
Draft plans and detailed drawings for architectural related improvements including floor plans, elevations, sections and details working from sketches, data and direction or notes received from the Project Manager
Develop Construction Documents under direction of the Project Manager for various projects
Make revisions to project drawings marked up by Client and/or Architect
Coordinate architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical designs received from other project consultants with architectural plans under direction of the Project Manager
Communicate with outside consultants and clients in exchanging data and managing that data in accordance with guidelines
Create and/or modify base drawings, which may be used in a variety of presentation documents
Be flexible and accommodating in working on multiple projects

WORK/EDUCATION EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Associate degree from an accredited technical school with CAD design specialization is required; Bachelor’s of Architecture is a plus
1-3 years of related work experience is a plus
Fluency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; experience with Revit is a plus
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
