Job Description

Are you enthusiastic about fostering creativity and empowering young minds through the world of theatre? Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center (LTYC) in Laurel, MD, US, is in search of an Afterschool Theatre Instructor to join our dynamic team.   • Develop and implement creative and engaging theatre lesson plans for students.
  • Purpose: To foster a passion for the arts and enhance students' creativity and self-expression.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to produce and direct after-school theatre performances.
  • Purpose: To provide students with a platform to showcase their talent and build confidence.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Purpose: To ensure a positive and supportive space for students to explore theatre.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback on performances and projects.
  • Purpose: To help students improve their skills and grow as performers.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating theatre-related events and field trips.
  • Purpose: To enrich students' theatre experience and exposure to the arts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Theatre, Drama, or related field.
  • Experience in teaching or working with youth in an educational setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans for theatre activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
